If you love the outdoors, sunshine, and seafood--then March is a blissful month to be in Islamorada. Check out these local events for fun in the sun:

JIMMY JOHNSONS NATIONAL BILLFISH CHAMPIONSHIP, MAR. 8-11TH

No trip the Florida Keys is complete without a star studded fishing tournament! Hosted by Jimmy Johnson, two-time Super Bowl winning coach and previous coach of the University of Miami. This VIP event benefits the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, a South Florida cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment facility, as well as other charities.

MORADA WAY ARTS & CULTURAL DISTRICT ART WALK, MAR. 16TH. 6-9PM

Located on Morada Way between Mile Marker 81 and 82, come check out fine art, music, and “culinary art.” Every third Thursday of the month, this is a popular event for tourist and locals.

AQUARIUM ENCOUNTER, HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY, MAR. 17TH, 9AM -5PM

Enjoy discounts to check out the Coral Reef and Stingray Cove Encounters. Celebrate St. Patrick’s day like a true “Islamoradian”.

ISLAMORADA SEAFOOD FESTIVAL & ART SHOW, MAR. 19TH, 11AM-5PM

Come enjoy seafood samplings from over 20 of Islamorada’s best restaurants. There will be music, artisans, belly dancing and more. Vendors are cash only and proceeds benefit Moose charities.
