Our team is closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control, the State of Florida and Monroe County’s statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following enhanced hotel cleaning guidelines provided by the AHLA.
Please see some of the steps we are taking, outlined below, to ensure the safety of our guests and staff members.
The private beach at Amara Cay remains open to registered guests.
ReelCatch and the Dining Room remain open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Our staff has the highest standards of cleanliness, health and safety protocols in place. Specific areas include high touch point surfaces to be sanitized with hospital grade disinfectant throughout the resort. We are focused on not only frequency of cleaning, but thoroughness as well.
The front desk has added partitions and social distancing signage to enhance the level protection for staff and guests.
Guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, according to AHLA guidelines. We remain focused on the cleanliness of high guest contact points throughout your room. After your guestroom has been cleaned and disinfected, we have provided an Amara Cay Clean Seal on the outside of your door, to ensure your guest room is not entered by anyone prior to your arrival. Housekeeping services will not be scheduled during your stay to limit the amount of people entering your room. Our staff is available to you, any time of day, should you need anything.
Our restaurants have been organized to allow for social distancing and staff have been trained on safe food handling with increased focus on sanitizing each table before reuse.
Our pool and water activities remain available to you during your stay. Our outdoor attendants are frequently sanitizing all pool high contact areas, water equipment and personal water equipment.
To ensure the safety of our team, all associates take part in daily temperature monitoring. Associates are provided with personal protective equipment, along with training to prevent the spread of potentially infectious substances.
Guest may cancel up to 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid 1 night’s room, tax and resort fee penalty.
We ask that anyone who feels unwell or has been in recent contact with someone with COVID-19 postpone their travel for the safety of other guests and our team members.
Per The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners, facial coverings over the nose and mouth are optional. For more information, please visit https://www.monroecounty-fl.gov/1169/COVID-19-Coronavirus.
